Golf Outing 2011

To the editor:

Thanks to all our duffers and donators. Art Potts took first place . 1’2″ from the pin . He won the golf bag donated by Jim Love . Ron Bokros won the Heinikin tap donated by Frank Traugner with a shot that landed 2′ from the pin after a heated contest with many “Mulligan’s” . Deb Huizenga took the fishing gear with a shot that came close . 2’1″ from the pin . Dick Dickman won a foursome with carts at Alden Pines and Gerard Kelvin won the Heinikin Cooler filled with goodies.

Twenty-five winners also won prizes donated by Winn Dixie, Dr. Watson’s, Olive Garden, Miceli’s, Bert’s, Bubba’s, Woody’s, Island Cow, The Waterfront, Lil Lilly’s, Dominos, Mango Tango, (what beautiful plants and a great place to visit for a botanical education! ), Dr. Jeter, Alden Pines, West Marine, Edison Golf Pro Shop, Seminole Golf & Country Club , Lumpy’s, The Golf Store, Tropical Hair, Loco T shirts, Cap’t Cons, Dairy Queen, Paisley Parrot, Cola, Budweiser, Heinikin, Cultural Park Theatre, Broadway Palm Theatre, I Ragazzi Pizza, Miller Beer, Publix, TIB bank, John Heist, Shirley and Jim Love, The Shvenskis, The Woods, The Bodins, the Issacsons and the McGloins. To all my volunteers from the Legion, Sal, Auxiliary, Linda Mitchell, and Jukebox John. A special thanks to my cooks, pros, wardens, starters, bartenders, jailers and jello shot purveyors and those who lent a special hand with the putting green, cheer basket and 50/50, and raffles. A special shout out to St. James Auto for being our number one sponsor!!! They helped with “the grease”! A beautiful day was had by all. See you next year . Get your starting times early .
