Hats off to God and the Lions Club

To the editor:

First of all, I want to thank God for His love, His grace and His mercy and for the way He has blessed me through the Lions Club.

For several years, I have had trouble hearing what was being said to me or around me. Year by year, it got progressively worse but, I was unable to do anything about it because I could not afford to get hearing aids.

Then a friend of mine told me to call the Lions Club, so I did. The man I called told me to call Mary Von Burg and he gave me her number.

I made an appointment with her and she helped me fill out the application.

I had a hearing test with the doctor I was sent to and was told that I needed hearing aids for both ears.

All the information was sent in to the company the Lions Club was working with and all I had to do was wait and pray.

In just a couple of weeks or so, I received a letter telling me that I had been approved. I was so excited! I called Mary and she shared my excitement with me.

Thank God for the members of the Lions Club and for the great work they do for the community! I cannot thank you enough for your help. May God continue to bless you as you continue to serve Him and the community.

I know I have been truly blessed! Again, thanks you to the members of the Lions Club for enabling me to hear better. My hat’s off to God and the Lions Club!
