Thankful for new island doctor
To the editor:
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I dread going to the doctor. It seems it is always a full day’s event. I drive into Fort Myers, wait an hour or so in a waiting area, finally get called back into the exam room where I wait another 30 minutes or so, and the doctor is in and out of the exam room in less than 10 minutes.
Well, those days are over! I heard about a new doctor right here on the island so I thought I would check her out. What a breath of fresh air! After filling out the initial paperwork, I waited five minutes before she took me back for my physical exam. She actually spent 45 minutes with me, it was the most through exam I have ever had.
Thank you Dr. Hess for opening your practice on the island, it is a great feeling to leave a doctor’s office with a smile on my face. If anyone is seeking a family doctor or OB/GYN, you should give Dr. Hess a call at 282-1200.
