Thank you from the Pine Island Pool

To the editor:

Once again, the wonderful people of Pine Island have come through for the children of Pine Island. The pool received a generous donation of $200 from the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island for new lifejackets. The pool has been in need for some time and with summer right around the corner, what a blessing. I know everyone knows the status of the budget in Lee County and without these donations, some children would not be able to swim. Our children and safety is No. 1 to everyone on this great island. A big, huge heartfelt thanks to all the men and women in the local Kiwanis and a special thanks to Mike Shevlin for facilitating the check.

The pool is still in need of $250 to bring our stock up to meet the summer demand. I am asking any and all organizations or individuals for a donation. No amount is too small. Please contact me at the pool, 283-2220, if you can help out in anyway.

Come by and go for a swim sometime. Summer hours start soon and you can now register for summer swimming lessons.

Bless you all,

Sandy Reynolds
