Kudos to St. James Auto
To the Editor:
I recently had my vehicle repaired at St. James Auto Repair and have been utilizing their services for the past three years. Returning home from a job interview in North Carolina, my new water pump failed, (NOT the fault of St. James Auto Repair!) I was exhausted, stranded in Georgia with my service dog and was forced to have my vehicle towed to a repair facility in that area. Debates, discussions and some heated arguments ensued between the parts warranty department, their legal department, St. James Auto Repair, the facility in Georgia and me. Inasmuch as I do not have the “normal” family-style sedan, parts had to be obtained from Jacksonville, Fla! Eventually, the problem was resolved when Rick, the owner of St. James Auto Repair, instructed me to have the repairs conducted and he would pay for them himself with his own personal credit card. As it turned out, this was not necessary and the problems were resolved, my repairs were conducted and I was put back on the road later the same day. Three cheers to St. James Auto Repair! I will continue to utilize their facilities as long as I am a resident of this area and will recommend their services to all. They went above and beyond the call of duty! Maybe if more establishments stood behind their customers and fought for them like Rick did for me, businesses wouldn’t be failing the way they are in this economy.
