Thank you to the Garden Club
To the Editor:
On behalf of the residents of September Estates, I want to thank the wonderful women from the Pine Island Garden Club who helped us design and plant a new garden around the sign at the entrance to our neighborhood.
Club president Carlene Sharples got us together with “Master Gardener” Marty Kendall, who selected the appropriate “Florida-friendly” plants and suggested an attractive layout. Thanks also to Marty for the rock we used to border our garden. Joyce Van Deusen showed up on planting day to help with the manual labor.
The Pine Island Garden Club is a service organization that is doing its best to beautify our island community. Thank you for helping us to beautify September Estates.
