To the Editor:
It is seldom that you deal with such a reputable company as Advance Solar Spa.
I purchased a spa from a company some 13 years ago. When it failed, I called them and they were out of business. A friend referred Advance Solar and Spa to me.
Now my saga. The spa would heat to the desired temperature, and then shut down. It would say OH for overheat. A technician came and tested all. At first they changed the monitor on top. Didn’t work! Next, they changed the sensors. Didn’t work! Then they changed the sensors again. Didn’t work! Lastly they changed the mother board. Guess what? It still didn’t work! Lastly they took the heater apart, and alas, it was deteriorated badly. In fact, it was a wonder that it worked at all.
Now the amazing fact is that when anyone tested the heater, it registered OK. It was only when they took the packing apart that the problem was evident. As one technician said, “That taught us a lesson.” I imagine he means to open the heater and check the inside even when it registers OK.
In all of this, each of the technicians was polite, friendly and courteous. There were two of them, Steve and Jim. I am sure they were frustrated as well. Randy, the manager, is reached easily and pleasantly explains each procedure with an estimated cost. So pleasant, even when frustrated.
Instead of blaming others, as most now a days do, they took the blame. They apologized to me that they took so long to find the problem. They replaced the old mother board, and, in fact, did not charge me for some of the calls.
It’s good to say how good a company is, and share with others.
