To the Editor:
It’s time for your ole pal Manny the Manatee to resurface again.
Things are starting to heat up and become interesting again to this ole student of political gamesmanship.
Has anyone ever seen such skillful and powerful use of the tactics of a smoke screen or a red herring as is now being used by our leaders in Congress, Treasury and White House in their collective and coordinated attack of the greedy, selfish demons taking the bonuses they were given? True, the behavior of accepting this ill-gotten gain was brazen and outrageous to say the least. But how about those elected and appointed liars and thieves that allowed it to happen in the first place? This did not take place in a random manner nor under the cover of darkness as those responsible for it would like for us to believe. No, folks. This occurred because you, up there, elected, allowed to stay in power, instead of selling their soul for political donations, votes and favors. If these corrupt critters had done this in my world, we elders would have shoved them into a boat prop.
In my infinite wisdom, I would suggest to you dummies up there, that it is way past time for you to get on with the movement to limit the terms of office for your entrenched elected officials. Thanks for listening. Manny the Manatee.
