Fantastic people
To the Editor:
The Moose Poker Run was once again unbelievable because of all the great people who participated and those who gave up their time to make it that way.
I would like to thank all the shops that allowed us to use their places: Woody’s Waterside, Ragged Ass Saloon, American Legion, VFW, KOA and the Moose Lodge.
A very special thank you to all the dealers who worked all day: Linda Mitchell for printing the tickets for us, Paul Alexander for running the trailer back and forth, Budweiser Brewing Company, Marianne Paton of the Pine Island Eagle, Moose Legion, Moose Sports Committee, John and May Clemens, Bob Smith, Ann Bokros, John Panse, John Restow, Winn-Dixie, Moose Club, Women of the Moose, Cora Christte, Alden Pines, Island Carpet and Upholstery for the great donations and selling of tickets.
It’s very hard to put into words how much I appreciate a special group of musicians, Lonnie Hendrix, Bob Smith, Jack Tribbett, the KOA Musicians, and all others that played for this event, only because they want to help. Bless all of you for your talent and time.
A special thank you to all of those who rode tickets for those who couldn’t. The enthusiasm was phenomenal. I hope I have thanked everyone and I wish all of you a great 2009.
