To the Editor:
Thanks to everyone who supported our MOTI Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 6. It was a gorgeous day, we had a great crowd and everyone seemed to have a really wonderful time. Thanks to all of the artisans who participated, Island Frank for his happy island music, and especially to our super volunteers who once again gave their time to help make our event a great success. Special thanks also to Mary Kaye Stevens, author of the new book, “Images of America: Pine Island,” who was on hand to sign the books. Obviously, Pine Islanders love books about our island, because we sold out before noon. We will have more books this week, so please come back if you didn’t get one at the Open House. I need to give special thanks to our Pine Island Garden Club for their continued support of MOTI by keeping our grounds beautiful. This organization has had this responsibility for 10 years, and always do a spectacular job. Thanks again to everyone who supports our efforts in bringing visitors a happy trip down memory lane in our little piece of paradise.
