Mulletville’s extended family Thanksgiving

1 min read

To the Editor:

It was only this past summer that Al and Barb decided to purchase Mulletville, located in downtown Matlacha. They quickly became involved members of the community and friends with their local customers. Mulletville has always been “home” to many local people: a place to meet, share ideas, good news and bad news. Al and Barb have continued on with this heartfelt sentiment.

On Thanksgiving Day a traditional turkey dinner was presented with all of the trimmings: mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, bread stuffing, sausage stuffing, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, olives, rolls and gravy. There were four turkeys fried by Wayne, two oven roasted. Pies were bought and homemade from apple and custard to key lime and banana cream. People came around 3 p.m. to share the holiday with “our extended family” and give thanks for all. This meal was shared by about 60 people, both young and old alike.

Al and Barb worked hard to share their time with us and we want to thank-you for being the people you are. Moments like these are will remain with us where ever we may be.

By the way:

Cost for the meal: zero dollars

Cost for the memories: priceless
