We want to keep our Pine Island lifestyle
To the Editor:
Randy and I moved here to Pine Island at the Encore KOA RV Park Oct. 1, 2007. As we live in a fifth wheel and are mobile, we choose to stay here. We relish the quiet, Old Florida lifestyle of Pine Island and brag to our friends in the North that we don’t even have a stop light. Having said that, we are opposed to the Publix development proposed for our island and appalled at the support of GPICA for it. Be warned residents of Pine Island against this development, RPIATD, we better band together to fight this or we will find ourselves living on just another commercialized island in south Florida. It’s our choice.
