Re: Charles Presser
To the Editor:
Mr. Presser has hit the nail right on the head in his tongue-in-cheek letter regarding the proposed Calusa Cay project. He listed all the same old played out and predictable rhetoric from the no growth crowd. You know I am against it because I hate it, it will bring skyscrapers, a six-lane highway, it would create white sandy beaches like Sanibel and Marco and a Bass Pro Shop. Mr. Buchanan speaks for them. I am sure you will be reading many more letters with these same talking points in the future as they continue to send the island’s economy down the drain. They won’t quit until the developer gives up. Remember the proposed Walgreens? Just think what a terrible place this island would be with a Walgreens.
