Margaret J. Teach

Margaret J. “Marge” Teach, formerly of Bloomville and St. James City, FL died Monday, January 3, 2022. Marge was the daughter of the late Fred and Cora (Barth) Webb. She was born on June 12, 1926, in Tiffin, Ohio. She married Russell Smith and they divorced; she then married Paul R. Teach.
Marge worked at General Electric in Tiffin during WWII, besides raising her daughter Annie, she worked at two Teach’s Marathon locations in Tiffin, she and Paul owned.
Marge travelled to Florida every year as a seasonal resident since 1946. She was a resident of Pine Island since 1968, living first in Matlacha and then St James City. She resided full time in Florida past several years.
Marge never met a stranger and could make friends with just about anyone. She was actively involved in the Flamingo Bay Resident’s Association, where she lived. She volunteered with Bingo and was the #1 lady for selling Flamingo Bay ticketed events.
She enjoyed daily visits on her porch drinking coffee and sharing with her friends, also watching Ohio State Football with friends.
Marge was the last survivor of her family of nine siblings.
She is survived by her grandson, Steven P. Lutz of Fort Myers; great granddaughter, Naomi Lutz of Fort Myers; several dear friends in Florida and Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; daughter, Annie Lutz; son in law, Chuck Lutz; sister, Clara Mae Blott; as well as brothers, Richard, Robert, Charlie, Paul, Gail, Homer, Howard, and James Webb.
