Patricia Marie Marcum Martin
Patricia Marie (Marcum) Martin, of St. James City FL., passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was born in New Castle Indiana on April 15, 1954 to her parents Marie (Mimi) and Dale Van Netta. Mimi and Dale preceded her in death.
Patti is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David, only son, Phillip D. Melvin, granddaughters Hope and Paige Melvin and grandsons Robbie and Steven Summers. Also her brother Roy Van Netta (Pam), niece Kristin Davis (Gavin) great niece Melania and great nephew Tucker. Also nephew Austin Van Netta (Melissa)
She leaves many aunts and uncles and countless friends who loved her very much.
Patti was always a very loyal employee working for many years at JC Penney at the Edison Mall. She eventually started her own successful house cleaning business and in the late 80ás was hired by the Humphrey-Knott Law Firm in downtown Fort Myers until her diagnosis of Lewy Body dementia in 2008.
She always fought for the underdog, the discriminated against and mistreated individual. Many will remember her as a feisty, rebel spirited redhead who loved to dance and live life to the fullest!
