Robyn Nicole Valenti (Bell)

A bright and Shining Light is Lost
Robyn Nicole Valenti (Bell), age 45 of Bokeelia Florida died on Thursday, January 14, 2021. We are not ready to let you go and we know you did not intentionally leave us. The depression Robyn has experienced since she lost her husband Paul almost 4 years ago, made her sometimes reach for something to dull the pain. This time, whatever was in the mixture, had a lethal result. We will choose to remember her warmth, love, and vibrant, beautiful smile and very happy recent times together. We have a huge hole in our lives and in our hearts.
Robyn is remembered by all as a warm, smiling, rebellious, free spirit and we who love her hope she is with Paul and at peace. The diseases of depression and addiction thrive in the darkness and must be defeated in the light, and so we share our loss and grief in hopes we can help another family.
Robyn leaves behind her two wonderful but heartbroken sons who were the light of her life. She was so proud of these fine young men and will always be watching over them. Michael Colin Mann and Jacob David Mann (currently attending university in Orlando). Robyn also leaves her devastated parents, Elaine McLaughlin and Michael Burrock of Bokeelia, who believed they were rounding the corner on helping her defeat her demons. Robyn’s much loved brother and friend Colin Bell (Jamie) of Mission Viejo CA and brother Ben Burrock (Chanmloup) of Roswell GA. Beloved nephew Declan Bell and nieces Imogen Bell, Elaina, Erika and Eliza Burrock will miss her love and laughter forever. She also leaves a father John Bell and the father of her sons, Michael Mann (Jessica Goldblatt).
Robyn leaves behind, many loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins most living in Canada, who remember family visits filled with love and laughter. Robyn had many friends and dearest of these was Julie Szumlanski, They were soul sisters and shared both heartache and joy for many years.
Her beloved husband Paul Valenti preceded Robyn in death. Also waiting for her are her grandparents Huntley McLaughlin, Clarisse McLaughlin (Poirier), Anne Bell (Souter) and Frances Burrock.
Robyn grew up in Fort Myers and attended Cypress Lake High School and graduated with an Associates degree from Florida Southwestern College. She was employed in many positions in the hospitality industry, including executive assistant at Sanibel Harbor Resort & Spa and Harborside Event Center.
A celebration of life will be held when we are all at less risk from Covid-19. Robyn worried about the newly unemployed so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Harry Chapin Food Bank at www.harrychapinfoodbank.org .
