Antoinette Laham Anfinsen

Antoinette Laham Anfinsen passed away on December 13, 2019, in Fort Myers. Toni, as she was known, was born in Oshkosh, WI, on July 19, 1934 to parents Suzanne Parks Laham, and Jamil Laham, M.D. She lived a full life as an outstanding schoolteacher, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loving wife to the late Ralph Anfinsen.
Toni was a champion for her various causes but none more so than in her advocacy for the generations of children in her family. Coming in a close second was her love for animals, especially the many dogs she rescued over the years. Her conviction was unwavering and her generosity unmatched. Toni made friends easily and enjoyed travel, playing the piano, and was very well read.
Toni was devout a devout Catholic. She had a deep faith in God and lived much of her life in his service. This included both the example set for her own family, and the support and work contributed to others throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by a son, Mario Di Blasi, and a daughter, Antoinette Di Blasi Silvers. Grandchildren John and Charles Di Blasi, Anita and Jessica Colon, niece Joan Laham Shevlin and husband Mike Shevlin locally, and many more family members and loved ones too numerous to list.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 10:30 AM.
