Charles “Chuck” Hatley

Charles “Chuck” Hatley of St. James City passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at home. He is survived by his wife, Diana Hatley; four children, including his daughters, Johanna Castellan, Wendy Winterheimer and Cassandra Barrett, and son, Robert Hatley. He also had five grandchildren and many cousins.

He was a self-employed pool contractor on the island and enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with friends and family. He was known by many as the man “who never met a stranger.” He was known and loved by many.

The celebration of life for Chuck will take place at the American Legion Post 136 Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014.
