Janet Marie Green

Janet Marie Green, 64 of St. James City, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. She was born March 7, 1949, in Pontiac, Mich., to George and Helen Zelezic Miller. She moved to the area over 20 years ago from Tennessee.
She enjoyed gardening, golfing and cooking. She ran the Labor Day Charity Golf Scramble for 14 years at Alden Pines Country Club, Bokeelia, to benefit Pine Island charities. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 1843, V.F.W. Post 4353 and American Legion Post 136, all of Pine Island.
She is survived by her loving family, Calvin “Butch” Waring of St. James City, and Gordon Green of Henderson, Nev.
A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, March 16 at the Moose Lodge, Pine Island.
