James Lewis Bradley

James Lewis Bradley, 82, passed away after a lengthy illness Dec. 2, 2013, in Bokeelia. He was born in Pittsburgh to Dr. James and Margaret “Peg” Bradley.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Smith Bradley; daughters, Leslie Bishop and Cheryl Gabello; step-daughters,
Katherin Van Dyck and Stacy Winstead; and step-son, Lyle “Smitty” Simons Heis.
He is also survived by half brothers, Dorn Schmidt and Kerry Schmidt; half sister, Margo Schmidt; step-sister, Jeanne Williams Reeder; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Emory University in 1960, with a doctorate in dental surgery. He practiced dentistry for 38 years in St Petersburg, Fla.
He and his wife retired to Pine Island in 1998, where he was a tarpon fishing guide.
