Betty R. Dooley
Betty R. Dooley, 86 of Bokeelia passed away on April 9, 2013. She was born in Rochester, NY to William and Ruth Kramer Mikletish. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Matlacha. She enjoyed boating, listening to Charlie Pride, baking cookies, reading, playing cards, and most of all spending time with family and friends giving her “truthful” advice.
She is survived by her loving family including her eight children, Judy (John) Fender, Linda (Calvin) Krohse, Carol (Norman) Murphy, Mike (Rhonda) Dooley, Dennis Dooley, Marsha McAtee, Tammy Wood and Donna Ford; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Doris (Ray) Hosmer. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James “Ed” Dooley who passed away in 2003, sister, June (Don) Thorpe, and nephew, Rick Hosmer.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends starting at noon. Burial will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
