Mark Alan Salyer

Mark Alan Salyer, 57, of Cape Coral passed away suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. He was born on July 2, 1955, in Waldo, Ohio, to Carl and Rita Jean Salyer. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, Ohio, and moved to Cape Coral in 1989. He was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Andrew’s Parish. He was a loving and devoted husband and father who cherished his responsibilities to his family. He showed his love for helping humanity by donating more than 25 gallons of blood to the local blood bank. True to his Ohio spirit, he was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and O.S.U. He was also a great fan and active father in his children’s high school and community sporting activities.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia, and forever admired and loved by his twin sons, Thomas and Andrew; brother, Chris Salyer; and many extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral. Burial will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
