Elvira Mansfield, 86, of St. James City passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harris and Newt Elwell, as well as her nephew, Lee Elwell.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Vera Sabota; brother, Lee Elwell, both of New Jersey; and her beloved companion, Bud Haywald of Florida.
She was a wonderful person, who loved growing orchids, playing cards and solving Sudoku puzzles. She was a member of Pine Island Community Church, where everyone loved her pineapple upside down cake.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 21, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, which will be her final resting place.
