Stanley E. “Butch” Temple-ton, 73, of St. James City passed away Dec. 2, 2012.

He was born April 27, 1939, in Elizabeth, N.J., a son of Stanley and Sarah (Love) Templeton, now deceased. He grew up with eight brothers and sisters: Thelma and Ronald, who survive him, and Donald, Alan, Dick, Cora, Shirley and Alice, who are now deceased.

He spent his working years in warehousing. He was a die-hard New York Giants fan and also rooted for the lowly New York Mets. After retirement he and Mary moved to Pine Island, where he enjoyed his passion for boating and fishing. He considered the waters at New Pass in Bonita a “paradise,” which will become his final resting place.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary Dreboty; three daughters, Lori Roman, Joann Mihalko and Stacy Klecha; and two step daughters, Sheryl Marsh and Renai Dunn. “Poppy” was loved and will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Megan, Mark, Daria, Michael, Kristy and Joey. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his special angels, Mark and Thomas.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
