Edward John Dabbert Jr.
Edward John Dabbert Jr., 94 of Cape Coral passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. He was born March 19, 1918, in Oak park, Ill., to Edward and Virginia Holbert Dabbert. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. In 1980, he moved from Illinois to Cape Coral. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. He was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 69 years, Frances E. Dabbert; son, Edward H. Dabbert; grandchildren, Edward H. Dabbert Jr., Kim and Eunice; seven nieces, Lorene, Marlene, Lorraine, Betty, Cathy, Cindy, Donna; and sister-in-law, Lynn Acerra.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Donald.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Visitation will begin at noon. Entombment with military honors provided by the U.S. Army will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
