Fannie D. Papageorge

Fannie D. Papa-george, 91, of Cape Coral died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. She was born in Hochist, Albania, May 12, 1921. She came to America settling in Jamestown, N.Y., with her parents, Seraphim and Athena Depas, in November 1926. She was the eldest of eight children. She married Theodore Anton Papageorge December 1942. She moved to Lake Worth, Fla., in 1977 where she enjoyed many years of retired happiness. The past four years she lived in Cape Coral with her daughter, Patricia, where she was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Myers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Theodore; her sister, Mary Matie; and her brother, Gust Depas.
Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Kemp of Cape Coral and Cynthia (Harry) Leeser of Pisgah Forest, N.C.; one son, David (Leslie) Papageorge of West Palm Beach, Fla.; five siblings, Christ, Martha, Tom, Simon and William; four grandchildren, Madeleine, Amanda, Ben and Deborah; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 9 a.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers.
