Joseph Bauer
Joseph Bauer of St. James City passed away at home Aug. 16, 2012. He was born in 1934 in Czech Republic. As a young man he immigrated to Canada via Germany. After living in Canada and serving in the Canadian Army, he immigrated to Chicago. He and his wife, Cathie, and daughter, Carie, moved to St. James City in 1990. He was an avid fisherman and scuba diver who loved spending time on his boat in the Gulf.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cathie; children, Carie (Erik) Dorsey of North Fort Myers, Elizabeth (Joseph) Boblie of Homer Glen, Ill., and David Bauer of Chicago; his grandchildren, Brody and Taylor Dorsey, and Joseph and Becky Boblie.
In honor of Joe’s wishes. a private memorial service will be held. The family would prefer memorial contributions to Hope Hospice 2430 Diplomat Parkway Cape Coral, FL 33909. Arrangements are by Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
