Jane Marie (Macone) Story

Jane Marie (Macone) Story, 60, of Cape Coral, formerly of Carlisle, Mass., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, after a brave battle with cancer.
She was born in Concord, Mass., Jan. 31, 1952, daughter of Thelma Comeau Macone and the late Frederick W. Macone of Cape Coral.
Preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Macone, she is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, James W. Story; her mother, Thelma; her mother-in-law, Marguerite Pierce; and her brothers and sisters, Nicholas Macone, William (Carol) Macone, Kathleen (Stephen) Mock, Betsy (David) Bautista of Cape Coral, Timothy (Helen) Macone of Alva, Marcia Macone (Gordy) Lange of Homer, Alaska, and Joanne Macone Smith, wife of the late Robert, of Hollywood, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Frank (Marie) Stokes and their children, Frank and Laurie of Davie, Fla., and Thomas (Paula) Story and their children, Thomas and Chris of Hollywood, Fla.
She considered living in Cape Coral to be “Paradise” and devoted the past 30 years to her career as one of Cape Coral’s most successful Realtors. She spent her life building personal and professional relationships with family, friends, and her community. She dedicated her career to promoting Cape Coral and its lifestyle. Finding the right home for each client was most important to her. She developed close relationships with her clients and many became friends and neighbors.
In recognition of her professionalism, her accomplishments include: president of the Cape Coral Women’s Council of Realtors, Cape Coral Women’s Council of Realtors Woman of the Year, top salesperson each consecutive year since 1983, Producer of the Year. She served as director of Cape Coral Association of Realtors, director of Fort Myers and Beach Realtor Association. For 30 years, she exemplified Keim Realty’s motto of “Action with Integrity.” When she moved to Douglas Realty in 2011, she took both the Keim team and the Keim philosophy with her.
Mrs. Story celebrated life and the lifestyle she promoted. Jane and Jim loved living on the waterfront in Cape Coral and Matlacha as well on Great Neck Island in Massachusetts. They enjoyed boating, fishing and island living. She found great pleasure in spending time with family and friends. She was a most devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all and in a very special way by Rob, Meg, Tina, David, Brian, Scott, Ryan, Nikki, Stephanie, Michelle, Patrick, Alex and Mariyah her nieces and nephews. “Who loves you the most?”
A funeral mass celebrating Jane’s life was held Tuesday, Aug. 7, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral. Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 6, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
