James Richard Kimsey
James Richard Kimsey, 60, of Cape Coral passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born on March 15, 1952, in Hawkinsville, Ga., to Eddie Lee and Susan Kimsey. He worked for over 30 years as a pool contractor and pool designer. He enjoyed collecting guns, classic cars, scuba diving and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Laurel Kimsey of Cape Coral; children, Richard Kimsey of Tallahassee, Christopher Kimsey of Cape Coral and Tia Kimsey of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Marissa Sadie, Xander, Caden, Wyatt, Layla and Gage; mother, Susan Layfield of Lehigh Acres; and siblings, Eddie Kimsey of Fort Myers, Debbie Gedris of St. Augustine and Betsy Elrod of Lehigh Acres.
There was a celebration of his life Friday, July 27, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral.
