Domenico “Nonno” Berardesca
Domenico “Nonno” Berardesca, 76, of Cape Coral passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. He was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Italy to Arcangelo and Mariacarmine DePonte Berardesca. He moved to Cape Coral 15 years ago from New York. He enjoyed gardening, planting his vegetables, walking his dog “Champ,” spending time at the beach and pool, and eating his pasta, bread and tomatoes. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of almost 52 years, Carolina. He was the father of Angelo, Daniel, Rosemarie, Lisa; grandfather of nine; and brother of Maria.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral.
