Kathi Rider
Kathi Rider, 82, of Alva died Dec. 12, 2011. She was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Violet Hawkins. She attended Collinwood High School in Cleveland. She lived in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, for many years before moving to Pineland in 1981.
She worked for Cabbage Key, Lee County School District and the Charlotte Harbor National Preserve. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend who loved music.
She is survived by her children, Laura (Royse Buller) Rider and husband of St. James City, Jayson Rider of Bokeelia and Jeni (Billy) Morris of Alva; six grandchildren, Ryan Buller, Rider, Reith and Aybre Morris, Josslyn and Landon Rider.
