Kenneth Daniel Runkle, 83, of St. James City passed away Friday Oct. 21, 2011. He is a native of Macy, Ind., and a retired dispatcher with Northern Indiana Public Service Co. (NIPSCO). A veteran of the U.S. Army and a Life member of the VFW Post 4353 also the American Legion Post 136, Moose Lodge 1954, and life member of the Elks Lodge, a former member of Masonic Lodge in Macy, Ind., as well as MAENNERCHOR in Peru, Ind. He was also a member of the Pine Island United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Marjorie E. Runkle, two daughters Bonita Fox of Mexico, Ind., and Brenda Phillipy of Logansport, Ind,; son Larry Wayne Runkle of Peru,Ind,; 2 brothers Hubert Runkle of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Donald Runkle of Angola, Ind.; a sister Norma Pugh of Georgia.
