William Raymond ‘Terry’ Schaeffer Jr.

William Raymond “Terry” Schaeffer Jr., 72, of Cape Coral passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011.

He was born on May 2, 1939 in Staten Island, NY to William and Margaret Voelger Schaeffer. William was a Veteran of the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class Aviation Electronics Technician. He was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. William retired after 36 years of service from Con Ed as a Systems Analyst. He was a Lifetime Member, 33 years, of the B.P.O. Elks serving the New York State Elks Association and the Grand Lodge as a Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler (PDDGER). He was a 32 year member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Knight and Past Quartermaster for North Fort Myers American Legion.

William is survived by his loving family including his wife of 21 years, Marguerite Schaeffer; daughters, Karen (Michael) Brooks, Samantha (Cliff) Rinbrand and Mary Shannon Schaeffer; sons, Kerry Schaeffer and John (Robin) Fitzpatrick; nine grandchildren, Paige Brooks, Mollie Schaeffer, Melanie, A.J. and Zoey Rinbrand, Erica and Emmett Fitzpatrick, Jackson and Wyatt Culver; brother, Michael Schaeffer; brother in law, Sam Price, uncle, Frank Voelger; cousins, Lynn Reiser and Elizabeth Mahler; and best friends, Robert and Angela Ritter.
