Raymond C. Dyer
Raymond C. Dyer, 62 of Cape Coral passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011. He was born on Dec. 14, 1948 in Philadelphia to John and Betty Myers Dyer. Mr. Dyer was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Seabee. He grew up and attended school in Newportville, Pa. he was formerly of Catawissa, PA and Orlando. He worked in construction most of his life and most recently in St. Croix. Mr. Dyer enjoyed traveling, boating, deep sea fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 43 years, Diana Dyer; children, Donna (David) Littlejohn of Bloomsburg, PA, John (Janice) Dyer of Mechanicsburg, PA, Raymond Dyer of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Brent Littlejohn, Ciara Littlejohn, Logan Dyer, Morgan Dyer; sisters, Lois Long and Charlotte Weaver.
The family received friends on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 Noon at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. Military Honors by the V.F.W. will follow the service.
