Blanche Evelyn (nee Murray) Beauchamp
Blanche Evelyn (nee Murray) Beauchamp, 93, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Bluewater Health of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She was formerly of Bright’s Grove, Ontario, and was the beloved wife of Arthur, who passed away in 1993.
She was the loving mother of Gen (Al) Hurst of Bright’s Grove, Joe (Jean) Nicefield of Bokeelia, Fla., Clarence (Gwen) Nicefield of Bright’s Grove, Rene (Pauline) Beauchamp of London, Yvan (Frances) Beauchamp of Sudbury and Willie (Sally) Beauchamp of London.
She was the dear sister of Robert of Yale, Mich., Mary Thomas and Dorothy Weess, both of Florida; and sister-in-law of Savina Murray of Port Huron, Mich.
She was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to 105 children. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sons, Lawrence and Robert.
Mrs. Beauchamp was a long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League of St. Michael’s Church and also a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Family and friends were received Thursday, Dec. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m., with prayers offered at 8:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
A funeral mass was celebrated Friday, Dec. 18, at 11:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron Ave., Sarnia, Ontario. Interment was at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Sarnia, Ontario.
