Madeleine Landry-Ferko
Madeleine Landry-Ferko, 62, of Pine Island went home on Aug. 17, 2009.
She was born March 7, 1947, to Felix and Rose Landry in Drummondville, Quebec.
She was the loving wife of Steven Ferko, adoptive mother of Stephan Landry and stepmother of Nancy Marteau and Douglas Winmill.
She formerly lived in St. Anticet, Quebec, and Morrow County, Ohio.
She was highly talented in watercolor painting, needle work and research. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Pine Island Chapter No. 1843; Lee County Genealogy Society; and previous member of the Pine Island Garden Club.
She leaves behind two sisters, Johanne and Yisele, both of Quebec; a special cousin, Yves; close friends, Claude Doyle and Jean Jules LeBlanc of Quebec, Charlie and Louise Gray of Cape Coral; and many step-children.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fla.
A private service will be held at her home in Florida.
