Robert Rousher

Robert Rousher died peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was born, the son of Edward and Marguerite Rousher, in Youngstown, Ohio, on Sept. 28, 1938. He was a graduate of Wilson High School. He worked at the Falcon Foundry in Lowellville, Ohio, for 35 years, where he managed the machine shop.

He will be remembered as a beloved mentor and coach at Boardman Little League and was instrumental in the creation of the Boardman High School softball team. He was a member of the Mannachor German Club and the Eagles Club. He was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed going to NASCAR events.

The love of his life, his wife Marlea, whom he married May 14, 1960, passed away in July 2005.

He leaves his children, Cindy Thomas of Canfield, Ohio, David Rousher (Margaret) of Fort Myers, Peggy Brinson (Melville) of St James City and Donna Rousher of Poland, Ohio; as well as six grandchildren, Angela and Alyssa Thomas, Luke Rousher, Suzanne and Shep Brinson and Victoria Rousher. He is also survived by a sister, Alice Miglets (Andrew), and a brother, Pete Rousher.

He will be missed by his family and all of the people that had the fortune to know him. He was generous in spirit and was a mentor to many. A private memorial service will be held.
