Margaret Lynn (Peggy) Pruett
Margaret Lynn (Peggy) Pruett, 48, passed away April 27, 2009, from cancer. She was born on Sept. 24, 1960, in Atlanta.
She grew up on Pine Island and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1978. She graduated from Stetson University in 1982 with a degree in music. While at Stetson, she met and married Ken Paulk. They settled in Orange Park, Fla., and started a family. She was at stay-at-home mom to her four sons until they were all in school and then she went to work for the Clay County School system as a music teacher.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Elena), Mathew, Travis (Ashley) and Kevin. She is also survived by her partner, Nancy Simons; her mother, Kathyrn; sister, Marilyn (Glenn); brother, Mike (April); and nieces and nephews, Mandy (Ed), Mark (Amanda), Brooke, Derek, Erin, Autumn and Conner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cyril.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be very missed.
A memorial service will be held May 9 at Broaduf-Raines Funeral Home, Green Cove Springs, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Florida Community Hospice, Earl B. Hadlow Center, Jacksonville, Fla.
