Richard A. Krieg
Richard A. Krieg, 52, of Pine Island, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2009. He was born Dec. 5, 1956, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Mark K. Sr. and Roberta G. Krieg. Other than eight years in the Carolinas for high school and college, he has loved living on Pine Island since 1977 when he and his father opened Pine Island Realty. His calling was to be a “take charge, I’ll help you solve your problems” real estate broker, to which anyone who had the good fortune of working with him would attest.
His first love was his wife of 30 years, Debbie, his son and two daughters. Richard was predeceased by his mother, Roberta G. Krieg.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra J. Krieg; son, Bradford A. Krieg; daughters, Joanna C. and Kathryn “Kati” E. Krieg; father, Mark K. Krieg Sr.; brothers, Mark K. (Sharon) Krieg Jr. and Steven L. (Reagan) Krieg; uncles; cousins and grateful nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Richard’s life and his remarkable gift of service to others at 2 p.m. this Friday, April 3, at Pine Island Methodist Church, 5701 Pine Island Road, N.W., at Pine Island Center. Arrangements are by Kiser Funeral Home 9231 Cypress Lakes Drive, Fort Myers.
