Rial N. Greenman

Rial N. Greenman, 79, of Bokeelia died peacefully Feb. 24, 2009. He was born in Breckenridge, Minn., and was raised in Decatur, Mich., by his parents Christine (Olson) and Dr. Newton Greenman.

He lived the majority of his adult life in Palatine, Ill., and retired in 1993 after a successful career at Unocal Corporation as a promotions director and also publisher of Road King Magazine.

He loved golf, his alma mater Michigan State University and, most of all,

his children and grandchildren. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending

retirement golfing and socializing with his friends at Alden Pines Country Club in Bokeelia.

He had a deep love for the Greenman family cottage and property on Christie Lake in Decatur, Mich., where he spent his youth, his yearly

vacations as an adult and summers during retirement.

Mr. Greenman is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; his sons, Doug, Scott and Mark; daughter, Susie; brother, George; and grandchildren, Kristin, Brian, Alex, Troy, Austin, Trent and Carter.

A celebration of his life was held on Feb. 28 at Alden Pines Country Club. His family asks that any memorial gifts be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
