Clara Belle Benedic
Clara Belle Benedic, 75, of St. James City, passed way March 14, 2009. She was born on May 16, 1933, in Orleans, Ind., to Roy and Olive (Busick) Moon. She started coming to Pine Island in the winter of 1981 and then moved here full-time about 15 years ago. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Moose Lodge, both on Pine Island, and also the American Legion in New Albany, Ind. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her loving family, including her step-son Glenn (Carol) Coffman of New Albany, Ind.; granddaughter, Amy Price of Sellersburg, Ind.; nephew, Dale Moon; nieces, Karen and Patricia Moon and their children; and sister-in-law, Mary Moon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Coffman, and her brother, Clifford Moon.
Visitation was Thursday, March 19, followed by the funeral service at Coral RIdge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
The family suggests memorial donations in her memory be made to the National Arthritis Association and FISH of Pine Island.
Entombment and funeral services were at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Ind., on Saturday, March 21.
Arrangements are by Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral.
