Camille (Adams) Wilson

Camille A. Wilson, 86, of Bokeelia, passed away surrounded by her family at home after a brief illness. She was born on May 9, 1922, in Morley, Mo., one of six children.

She married Jack on July 3, 1942. She was a resident of Cape Girardeau, Mo., until the early 1980s. She was active in the First Baptist Church as a librarian and Sunday School teacher. She volunteered at the local hospital and the tourism committee.

She summered at Kentucky Lake and enjoyed heading up the Saturday night fish fry and always had a boat load of people.

She moved to Pine Island permanently in 1984 to Alden Pines Country Club where she loved to entertain and was always up for a round of bridge or a game of Rummikub with friends. She was a member of Pine Island United Methodist Church and PEO Chapter FT. Her special moments were those shared with her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jack; daughter, Betsy (Cress) of Fort Myers; granddaughter, Amy Camille (Don Gessmann) of St. James City; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Kayla Camille and Caleb of St. James City; sister, Maryann Foster of Lompoc, Calif.; nieces, Charlotte Adams of San Antonio, Texas, and Shirley Burt of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Marshall, and sisters, Mae and Bernice.

A celebration of life was held at Pine Island United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 21, with a reception following at the church.
