Teen accused of bank robbery to also be charged in auto parts store robbery

A young woman accused of robbing the O’Reilly Auto Parts store located at 15681 San Carlos Blvd. last Friday night has been identified as Hayley Pettrey, 17. She was taken into custody Wednesday in Lake City, Fla., on charges of robbing the Busey Bank in Cape Coral on Monday.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, she entered the auto parts store at 9:30 p.m. Friday and pointed a black firearm at two store employees and demanded all the cash in the registers. She fled the scene on foot on San Carlos Boulevard.

After her extradition back to Lee County for her alleged involvement with the bank robbery, Pettrey will additionally be charged by Lee County Sheriff’s detectives with the O’Reilly Auto Parts robbery.

She and Christian Miller, 19, both of Painesville, Ohio, were charged by Cape Police in Monday’s bank robbery. Pettrey was listed as a runaway, and Miller has additionally been charged with interfering with custody in the case.
