A Cape Coral man reportedly drove into a home and several parked cars over the weekend.

At about 12:23 a.m. Saturday, Brian Lee Eyerman Prado, 19, of 1502 S.W. 43rd Lane, was driving a four-door Honda west on Southwest 43rd Lane and approaching Chiquita Boulevard, according to police. He drove through the intersection and into the driveway of a house at 4338 Chiquita Blvd. S.

At full speed, the Honda crashed through the garage and drove into the living room. Eyerman Prado stopped the vehicle and reversed out of the home, then he began to drive south on Chiquita.

Police reported that Eyerman Prado continued southbound, running a red light at the intersection of Cape Coral Parkway. In the 500 block, the Honda veered to the right and drove into the parking lot of a housing complex at 5004 S. Chiquita Blvd. The vehicle then struck four cars in the lot at full speed.

After coming to a stop, Eyerman Prado exited the Honda naked and covered with blood.

He was agitated, would not listen to officers and kept trying to walk away, according to police. Eyerman Prado was eventually detained by multiple officers and the use of a Taser. Having sustained facial trauma with an “altered mental status,” he was trauma-altered to Lee Memorial Hospital.

It was determined that Eyerman Prado had non-life threatening injuries.

As of Monday, he was listed in fair condition at the hospital.

Police reported that the house at 4338 Chiquita Blvd. S. suffered catastrophic damage and was condemned by a city building inspector. Some of the vehicle parts from the Honda were discovered inside the garage. The residence, a rental property, was unoccupied at the time of the accident.

The vehicles struck in the complex’s parking lot were also unoccupied at the time.

It is unknown if the accident is alcohol or drug related, according to police.
