Lee County Solid Waste collections proceed as scheduled
Household trash, recycling and yard waste collections in Lee County will not be affected by Hurricane Matthew and are expected to proceed as scheduled Friday.
“We will continue to monitor the storm and may adjust services if warranted,” said Keith Howard, director of Lee County Solid Waste.
For areas with Friday collection service, please place cans out Friday morning prior to 6:30 to avoid causing blowing debris should conditions worsen overnight. Residents in other areas are asked to ensure garbage and recycling containers are in a secure location.
