City to Install “all-way” stop at Diplomat and Northeast 24th Avenue intersection
The city of Cape Coral will be installing an “all-way” stop at the intersection of Diplomat Parkway and Northeast 24th Avenue. The intersection currently is a two-way stop for the northbound/southbound traffic on Northeast 24th Avenue, while the eastbound/westbound traffic on Diplomat does not stop. The city conducted a traffic study at the intersection, which showed the level of traffic at the location warranted an all-way stop.
Digital message boards will be placed at the intersection advising drivers of the upcoming change. After two weeks of advance notice to drivers, the signage at the intersection will be changed and new stop signs installed.
