The Strawberry Fest will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, and Sunday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the German American Social Club, 2101 SW Pine Island Rd. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children 3 to 12 years old and free for those 2 and under.

A dollar off coupon can be found at www.capecoralfest.com.

Buckler Shows spokesperson June Font said this is the first festival they are holding in Cape Coral, which they are very excited about.

“We do other Strawberry Festivals throughout the state of Florida. We found this location (German American Social Club) and decided to add another location. The location is fabulous. We were looking for locations in the area and came across it. It’s very large, great to hold the volume of people we expect.”

Buckler Shows currently has 13 shows throughout Florida.

The two-day festival will feature lots of delicious food; a classic car show; live entertainment by Endless Summer, a Beach Boys Tribute Band; organic strawberries and Plant City strawberries provided by Samsue Produce; strawberry shortcake; strawberry fudge; strawberry lemonade and strawberry wine slush mixes.

There also will be free corn hole; a pie eating contest three times throughout the day, free strawberry relay, a free hula hoop contest and free sack races every half hour.

There will be arts and crafts; free bounce houses; rock climbing wall; face painting; pony rides; petting farm; train rides; free rock painting and a Berry Cute Baby contest for those 24 months old and younger.

Font said they are proud to partner with the Cape Coral Caring Center.

“A portion of the proceeds and the canned goods (collected) will go toward the Cape Coral Caring Center,” she said.

The last Strawberry Festival Buckler Promotions held, Font said was in Melbourne, which attracted 13,000 attendees.
