Grand opening Thursday for new Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Event Center
The grand opening of a new, unique event center in Cape Coral is set for Thursday.
Officials of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Event Center will be celebrating the addition of a 8,500-square-foot facility on their Cape Coral property that is designed to host a myriad of different functions, gatherings and ceremonies.
Coral Ridge will be cutting the ribbon from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, and dignitaries and residents will have the chance to get a look at the new venue.
“I am beyond excited, not only to have the ability to open a brand new building after 10 years of planning, but to have the honor and privilege to have an awesome team to provide the utmost vision and service for our community,” said Chuck Warren, director of operations at Coral Ridge.
The new facility will be able to accommodate over 175 guests and offers catering services for all palates.
Reservations of the space are not limited to only funerals, but family reunions, wedding receptions and more.
“You can rely on us to help you create a unique and meaningful event,” said Warren.
“The 8,500-square-foot funeral home with its signature contemporary style welcomes guests as soon as they enter the Coral Ridge Cemetery grounds,” reads a description of the new event center. “The exterior is lined with beautiful stonework and features a steeple rooftop. Influenced by Cape Coral’s culture and history, the funeral home will have vibrant tropical tones.
“Inside, the funeral home is designed for connecting, with round tables and chairs for family members and friends to gather and support one another. The interior lends itself to calming and reflective moments with plenty of natural light and spacious high-beamed ceilings.”
Warren explained how the new facility gives Coral Ridge a whole new feel.
“When you enter and see our grand foyer and high ceilings, you would never think you have entered a ‘funeral home,'” Warren said. “We are way more than a funeral home, we are now truly a community steward and are able to give back to our city.”
So, what spawned the idea for this modern facility?
“We listened to our leaders in the community and felt the need to offer additional, superior event services above what we already offered,” Warren said. ” Our new facility, along with our Life Well Celebrated services, will enable us to provide services and events like no other in the surrounding communities. We envision having continuous programs for families, including movie nights, children’s activities and socials.”
Warren said they already have events lined up for the center, including the Cape Coral Economic Development Office’s 4th Wednesday Biz Chat, the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral Leadership Health Care Day, the Chamber Monthly Membership Luncheon in December and maybe even a wedding this October.
Warren envisions the center as a place for all people from all walks of life to enjoy the facility for whatever purpose they intend. Coral Ridge Funeral Home serves people of all faiths and cultural backgrounds.
