Cape man injured in crash released from Lee Memorial Hospital

A Cape Coral man was released from the hospital after recently driving into a tree.

As of Tuesday, William Bradley Haynes, 48, had been treated and released from Lee Memorial Hospital, where he was taken on May 13 after McGregor Boulevard crash, officials reported.

At 2 a.m., Haynes was driving a Toyota Camry south on McGregor, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. South of Robalo Drive, the car traveled in a southwest direction off of the roadway.

The Toyota then collided with a tree on the west shoulder on McGregor. As a result, the vehicle overturned and came to a final rest on its roof along the shoulder of McGregor Boulevard.

Haynes sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to the FHP.

Officials reported at the time that charges are pending.
