‘Sweet 16 Birthday Party’ to benefit Our Mother’s Home
Edison Mall will host a special “Sweet 16 Birthday Party” to benefit Our Mother’s Home of Southwest Florida in from 2 4 p.m.on Saturday, April 23, the Dillard’s Court .
The purpose of the event is to spread awareness and raise funds for the organization who has been making positive changes in the lives of teenage mothers and their babies since 2000.
The main event will be fashion show featuring spring/summer and prom collections from retailers throughout the mall including Rue 21, Journeys, US Polo, NY & Co., Bijoux Brigitte, Love Culture, Icing and Dillard’s. A variety of looks ranging from casual and trendy to formal prom dresses will be will be modeled on the catwalk.
“We’re pleased to support Our Mother’s Home and its mission of empowering foster mothers, assisting children and preserving the family unit,” said Susie Wentworth, director of marketing for Edison Mall, in a prepared statement. “We invite the community to attend this fashionable milestone event sponsored by our generous retailers and enjoy a fun, philanthropic showcase designed to make a difference in the lives of young women”
The show is free but all donations, raffle items and food and beverages purchased at the event will go toward Our Mother’s Home of Southwest Florida, Inc.
